Dayton Christian Church is a community that eagerly welcomes people of every generation, background and circumstance. Our big idea?
Leading People to Become Fully Devoted Followers of Christ.
It’s a simple concept, but we’re pouring everything we have into it and having a lot of fun along the way!
At DCC, we’ve given up the illusion that we can attain perfection because pretending is way too hard. Instead, we struggle together to sincerely know Jesus, be in community, and make an impact in the world around us. When we miss, we lean on God’s generous grace – and we try to share grace with others. We would like to be known for welcoming anyone, challenging everyone, and surprising people in all the right ways.
If we are passionate about anything, it is helping you move forward in your journey with God, no matter where you are now. Whether you are only beginning to ask spiritual questions, or trying to go deep, we can help.
We would be honored to have you join us on Sunday. We have Sunday School classes at 9:15a and our Worship Service is at 10:30a.
Frequently Asked Questions
What will my experience at DCC be like?
Our Worship time is about 75 minutes long and includes a blend of music that is led by our live worship band, and a message. Pastor Justin strives each week to focus on how the Bible speaks to real issues with which we all deal.
After the sermon we have a time where we take communion. All that means is we eat a small portion of bread and grape juice as a symbolic reminder of Jesus’ death on a Roman cross so that we can be saved from our sin.
Right after our time of communion we have a time for offering. You will not be expected to put anything in the plate. This is just a time for people to worship God through giving. Although we do appreciate it if our guests fill out the communication card in the bulletin and drop it in the plate.
Where should I park?
We have parking pretty much all around our building. We have a paved lot in the front and a gravel lot in the back. And most of the neighbors are cool with you parking along the street.
What should I wear?
CLOTHES! That is about the only expectation. It would be awkward for you and for us if you came without clothes, so please where clothes. Other than that, our pastor typically wears jeans so don’t feel the need to dress up.
What about my kids?
Your kids are precious to you and unbelievably important to us as well. All of our children’s ministry leaders have had thorough criminal background checks.
When you arrive there will be a check-in kiosk through the double doors to the right. We utilize an electronic check-in system to enhance the safety and security of your children. We also have a nursery available for those who have young children.
