Preschool

Dayton Christian Preschool

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am - 11:30am

  • Provides a Christ-Centered atmosphere.
  • Prepares children spiritually, socially and emotionally for school and community life.
  • Teaches values based on biblical principles.
  • Provides an outreach to the entire family and community.

Our preschool, established in 1992, uses a well balanced, Bible-based curriculum. It is developmentally appropriate for preschoolers and covers key exercise, language arts, social studies and art. The preschool encourages active exploration, development of social skills, development of self-reliance, growth in self-worth, and development of the Christian faith.

The Preschool believes:

Process is just as important as the product. With young children the experience of doing the activity is as important as the quality of the product.

Children learn by doing. It is important to allow children to do things that they can do for themselves, such as drawing, cutting, buttoning, etc...

Each child's creativity should be encouraged. Children are invited to experiment and explore.

Children can learn about responsibility by cleaning up during and after activities.

The monthly calendar and parent newsletters will help keep parents informed of upcoming activities, giving parents a chance to reinforce what your child has learned in preschool.
